29 September 2023, Ipoh - Located at the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Stadium, Ipoh, Perak, the Opening Ceremony of the 16th JPS SPORTS CARNIVAL EXCELLENCE AND FITNESS PROGRAM was held which was officiated by the Honorable Dato' Seri Saarani Bin Mohamad, the Chief Minister of Perak.
At this edition of the sports carnival, a total of 15 sports competitions were held which were participated by more than 2,000 athletes from 17 JPS contingents throughout Malaysia who were in Ipoh City to win the JPS sports championship held bi-annually.
The Director General of JPS Malaysia calls on all participating officers and civil servants to use this opportunity to get to know each other and build close cooperation. Hopefully the Sports Carnival Tournament this time will run smoothly and be lively based on a solid sporting spirit.
Also participating in the opening ceremony of the Sports Carnival Tournament were YB Tuan Mohd Zaki bin Mahyudin, Perak State Government Official, YB Datuk Seri Mohamad Nizar bin Jamaluddin, Chairman of the Perak State Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Public Transport Committee, Puan Halizah binti Sipun, Deputy Secretary of the Perak State Government, Dr. Ching Thoo A/L Kim, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change (Water Resources and Sewerage), Dato' Ir. Sabri bin Abdul Mulok President of MAKSAK JPS Malaysia concurrently Deputy Director General (Business Sector) and Ir. Ts. Ahmad Shahrir bin Md. Inspectors, the Chairman of MAKSAK State Department of Perak as well as Divisional and State Directors and all contingents from all over the state.
