21 October 2024, Kuala Lumpur - A Special Chamber Session of the House of Representatives was held at the Malaysian Parliament Building regarding the proposal to upgrade the flood mitigation to the National River Trail in the Perak River, which was put forward by the Member of Parliament for Pasir Salak, YB Tuan Jamaludin Bin Yahya. This session is led by the Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), YB Tuan Haji Akmal Nasrullah bin Mohd Nasir, accompanied by Dato' Ir. Rozman bin Mohamad, Deputy. Director General (Expert Sector) of JPS Malaysia.
This session was also attended by a delegation from the Perak State JPS led by the Director of the Perak State JPS, Col. Bersekutu (PA), Ir. Ts. Ahmad Shahrir bin Md. Naziri, District Engineer of Perak Tengah, Mr. Ir. Ts. Shaiful Zakuan bin Mohamad, Senior Assistant Director of the River and Coastal Engineering Division, Mr. Ir. Sasitharan A/L Manikam, and officers from PETRA, JPS Malaysia, and JPS Perak.
