5 December 2024, Ipoh - A visit and press conference regarding the flood incident that occurred at Arena Kepayang, Fair Park, Ipoh on December 1st were attended by the Director of JPS Perak, Ir. Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato' Hj. Ishak, who also accompanied YB Nga Kor Ming, Minister of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), ADUN Canning, YB Jenny Choi Tsi, Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin, Heads of Departments, and Members of the Ipoh City Council.
This visit aims to see firsthand the impact of the flood that occurred, as well as to find the causes and methods to prevent this flood from recurring, in addition to carrying out the work of upgrading the embankment along the Kinta River.
