November 13, 2025, Taiping - A working visit was conducted with the Special Officer to the Deputy Prime Minister II, Mr. Neow Choo Seong, to several flood mitigation project locations in the Larut, Matang, and Selama Districts. A total of 6 projects have been implemented to ensure that the recent floods do not recur.
This visit was attended by YBrs. Engineer. Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato' Haji Ishak, District Engineer of JPS Larut, Matang and Selama, and officers from relevant agencies. Emergency funds from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister II, Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, helped reduce the risk of flooding, especially in the town of Taiping.
