21 April 2025, Ipoh - Chairman of Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Public Transport, Dato' Seri Mohd. Nizar bin Jamaluddin led the press conference held in the media room, Perak Darul Ridzuan Building, regarding the collapsed bridge issue at Sungai Liat, Sungkai, Perak.
Director of the Perak State Irrigation and Drainage Department, YBrs. Engineer. Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato' Haji Ishak was also present with the Director of the Perak State Public Works Department, the District Officer of the Batang Padang District and Land Office, the General Manager of the Perak Water Board, and the Honorable Member of the Behrang State Assembly to clarify the issue and explain the actions taken by the Perak State Government, including carrying out cleaning work and constructing a temporary one-way bridge, which will be completed within a week.
