22 June 2025, Kuala Kangsar - The Water Resources and Hydrology Management Division, Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, organized a Water Resources Awareness Program for the National Water Resources Management Water Balance Program (Phase 1), also known as the National Water Balance Management System (NAWABS), which was held in the Kuala Kangsar District.
Two schools have been selected to host this two-day program: Malay College Kuala Kangsar and SMK Raja Perempuan Kelsom. This program aims to raise awareness about the importance of efficiently managing water resources in daily life and for the sustainability of future generations.
Mr. Engineer Mat Pua'at bin Mat Hussein, Director of the Water Resources and Hydrology Division, Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, attended the closing ceremony accompanied by the Director of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Perak, Ir. Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato' Haji Ishak, District Education Officer of Kuala Kangsar, Encik Ahmad Sabri bin Abdul Ghani, Principal of SMK Raja Perempuan Kelsom, Principal of Malay College Kuala Kangsar, and District Engineer of JPS Kuala Kangsar.
