October 4, 2025, Sungai Siput - The Honorable Dato' Haji Mad Zaidi bin Mohd Karli, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), took the time to visit the Sungai Perak Phase 1 PLSB project site, which involves upgrading the Eco-Friendly Drainage System (Urban Drainage) in the Kuala Kangsar District.
Also present were the Director General of JPS Malaysia, YBrs Datuk Ir. Mohamad Radzi Abdul Talib, Deputy Director I of the Perak JPS, Puan Ir. Hajah Azizah binti Mohd Sabri; District Engineer of Kuala Kangsar/Hulu Perak, Encik Azizi bin Ariffin, and officers from JPS Malaysia and JPS Perak.
This project is implemented to reduce the risk of flash floods in the Sungai Siput area and to increase the resilience of existing pond infrastructure.
