October 27, 2025, Manjung – Chairman of the Perak State Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Public Transport Committee, YB Dato’ Seri Ir. Haji Mohammad Nizar bin Jamaluddin conducted a working visit to the Beruas River Basin Flood Mitigation Project (RTB) located in Beruas Town, Manjung District.
The council began with a project briefing session delivered by the Director of the Perak State Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS), Ir. Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato' Haji Ishak, along with representatives from RBM Engineering Consultants.
Also present were the Member of the Pengkalan Baharu State Legislative Assembly, YB Tuan Azman bin Noh, and the Deputy Director I of JPS Perak, Ir. Hajah Azizah binti Mohd Sabri, as well as heads and representatives of departments and agencies under the INTAP portfolio, JPS Perak officers, project contractors and consultants.
This working visit was held to review the current progress of the project and to detail its benefits to the residents around Beruas Town, particularly in reducing the flood risk that frequently occurs in Beruas Town.
