BRIEFING ON THE FLOOD MITIGATION PLAN IN THE PERAK STATE RIVER BASIN

December 15, 2025, Ipoh – The Perak State Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) has invited Mr. Ir. Dr. Herman bin Tawil and Encik Mohd Aizat bin Mohd Hanif from the Flood Management Division, JPS Malaysia, to deliver a briefing on the Flood Mitigation Plan in the Perak River Basin.

This briefing was chaired by Deputy Director II, Puan Zamzamzurina binti Zainon, and was also attended by Heads of Division, District Engineers, and officers from the Perak State Irrigation and Drainage Department.

This briefing aims to enhance understanding and alignment in flood risk management planning, particularly in the aspects of flood mitigation planning, disaster preparedness, and the implementation of more effective mitigation measures within the Perak River Basin.
