December 23, 2025, Ipoh - This morning, the project handover ceremony was held by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia to non-technical departments (AP182) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) and the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) in the state of Perak Darul Ridzuan at the Main Meeting Room, Perak DID Headquarters.

This ceremony was officiated by the Honorable Dato' Ir. Mohd Sha'ri bin Mohammed, Deputy Director General (Expert Sector) of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia; The Honorable Ir. Hezrin Haslinda binti Hashim, Chief Assistant Director, Agricultural Irrigation and Drainage Division (BPSP), representing the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM); Yang Berusaha Harulnizam bin Abd Rahman, Director of the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) Perak; Yang Berusaha Ir. Ts. Zakiyyah binti Muhammad, Director of the Design and Dams Division, Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia; The Honorable Ir. Asnol Adzhan bin Abdul Manap, Director of the Corporate Division, Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, and Yang Berusaha Zamzamzurina binti Zainun, Deputy Director II, JPS Negeri Perak.

The handover of three (3) completed projects implemented by JPS Malaysia to the owner agencies are the Upgrading Works of Padang Lalang Pump House and Related Works within the Kerian Irrigation Scheme, Perak Darul Ridzuan; the Construction of Spillway and Other Related Works at the High Embankment of Terusan Besar within the Kerian Irrigation Scheme, Perak Darul Ridzuan; and the Sungai Bekut Bridge Project, Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Cincin, Perak Darul Ridzuan.
