Bahasa Melayu December 27, 2025, Bagan Datuk – The Right Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk, YAB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, was pleased to attend a working visit to the Bagan Datuk Flood Mitigation Project (RTB) site located in Kampung Sungai Balai Baroh, today.
The visit aimed to assess the progress of the project's implementation and receive a briefing on the current status of the Bagan Datuk RTB Project. This project is one of the government's important initiatives in efforts to reduce the risk of recurring floods, particularly stagnant flood events that often affect local residents' settlements.
Also present were the Director of the Perak State Irrigation and Drainage Department, YBrs. Engineer Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato' Haji Ishak, Deputy Director I, Puan Ir. Hajah Azizah binti Mohd Sabri and representatives from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Malaysia, DID Perak State, the contractor, and relevant agencies.
During the visit, the Right Honorable Deputy Prime Minister was also briefed on the project scope, implementation challenges, and mitigation measures taken to ensure the project can be completed on schedule and provide optimal benefits to the people. JPS hopes that the implementation of this RTB project can increase the level of flood protection, ensure the well-being of local residents, and sustainably support socio-economic development in the Bagan Datuk District.
