Bahasa Melayu January 6, 2026, Kerian – Director of the Perak State Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), YBrs. Engineer Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato' Hj. Ishak has visited the coastal areas in the Kerian District to assess them for the development of shrimp and fish farming ponds.
This visit aims to assess the current condition of the coastal area and identify the technical requirements and suitability of relocating aquaculture ponds to ensure environmental sustainability, coastal safety, and the well-being of the local community.
Also participating in the visit were the President of the Kerian District Council, Mr. Helmi bin Yusof @ Jusoh, the Kerian JPS District Engineer, Ir. Mohd Fisham bin Abu Basah, Assistant District Engineer, JPS Kerian, Ts. Engineer Mohamad Syamsul Hizham bin Sablee, as well as officers from relevant agencies.
