Bahasa Melayu January 7, 2026, Ipoh - A Kick-Off meeting, the handover of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to the contractor, and the Pre-Construction Meeting for the Kinta River Phase 2 Flood Mitigation Project (RTB) were held at the Main Meeting Room, JPS Perak.
This meeting was attended by YBrs. Engineer Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato Hj. Ishak, Director of the Perak Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS); Pn. Khairul Fazilah, Flood Management Division (FMD), Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Malaysia, representing the project owner; Madam Ir. Hajah Azizah binti Mohd Sabri Deputy Director I JPS Perak; Puan Ir. Salfarina binti Mohd Sharif, Kinta/Batang Padang District Engineer; RPM Engineer representative and JPS Perak PPP Officer.
The Kinta River RTB Phase 2 project involves upgrading the Kinta River, Pari River, and Pinji River, as well as other related works. The main objective of this project is to reduce flood risk for approximately 10,000 residents with a flood protection level of up to 50 years ARI in the Kinta River Basin. The implementation period for this project is 48 months.
