January 13, 2026, Bagan Datuk - The Mechanical and Electrical Services Division, Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) of Perak State conducted a Testing & Commissioning session for the Mechanical and Electrical Infrastructure Upgrading Project for Flood Control at the Bagan Lipas Dalam Sluice Gate and the Bagan Lipas Luar Sluice Gate, Bagan Datuk District. 

This Testing & Commissioning session was led by the Senior Assistant Director of the Mechanical and Electrical Services Division of the Perak State JPS, Ir. Baharudin bin Ibrahim, along with the Senior Assistant Director of the Mechanical and Electrical Services Division of the Perak State JPS, Mr. Muhd Zulkifli bin Idris, and the Assistant District Engineer of Bagan Datuk, Mr. Nor Rahmat bin Zainudin.

Also present were representatives from the contractor, Macro Dynamics, as well as officials from the Perak State Irrigation and Drainage Department and the Bagan Datuk District Irrigation and Drainage Department. This testing session aims to ensure that the upgraded mechanical and electrical systems function properly, are safe, and meet the specified technical requirements before they are fully utilized for flood control purposes.
