January 15, 2026, Ipoh - A meeting with stakeholders regarding the direction of water resource management in the Perak River Basin was held at the Main Meeting Room, JPS Perak.

 

This meeting was attended by YBrs. Engineer Dr. Asnor Muizan bin Dato Hj. Ishak, Director of the Perak Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS); Mr. Hanif, (LPSAP), Mr. Nazim, Mr. Khairul Azhar, Mr. Farid (Deputy TNB GENCO SJ Sungai Perak), Mr. Nazrul (TNB Jana Manjung Representative), Mrs. Zuraida (Deputy LAP), Mrs. Hasliza (Representative from the Department of Methodology), Ms. Nurhuda (Perak Tengah District Agricultural Officer), Mr. Mohamad Redzuan (IADA Seberang Perak Representative), Mr. Shahlan (Deputy District Officer of Perak Tengah), Puan Ir. Hajah Azizah binti Mohd Sabri (Deputy Director I of the Perak JPS), Mr. Baharuddin (Senior Assistant Director, BPME JPS Perak), Mr. Mohd Hafiz bin Ahmad (PHN JPS Perak), Mr. Fadhil bin Ahmad (Senior Assistant Director, River & Coastal Division), Mr. Azizi bin Ariffin (Kuala Kangsar District Engineer), Mr. Muhd Zulkifli bin Idris (Senior Assistant Director, BPME JPS Perak), Mr. Khairul Anuar (Central Perak Engineer), Mr. Rosli (Representative of BPSP JPS Perak) and Tc. Afizan (JPS Perak Tengah).

The main objective of this meeting is to identify the direction of water resource needs for the Perak River Basin for current and long-term requirements, involving stakeholders within the Perak River Basin.
