February 27, 2026, Pantai Remis - This morning, a site visit session was held by the Special Officer to the Deputy Prime Minister II, YB Neow Choo Seong, to the mouth of the Beruas River and the Batu River in Pantai Remis.
Also present during the visit were the Member of Parliament for Beruas, YB Dato’ Ngeh Koo Ham; the Assemblyman for Pantai Remis, YB Wong May Ing; the District Engineer of Manjung, Puan Nur Ain binti Alias; the Senior Assistant Director of the Corporate Division, Ir. Mohd Shamimi bin Mohd Tahir; Assistant District Engineer, Ts. Saiful Adli bin Samsudin and officers from the relevant agencies.
This visit aims to identify the issues occurring in the affected areas, particularly at the river mouth which is at risk of erosion and sedimentation, as well as to assess the need for implementing appropriate mitigation measures to reduce flood risks and facilitate the entry and exit of fishing boats in the future.
