March 2, 2026, Bagan Datuk – An engagement session involving the new alignment of the Bagan Datuk Flood Mitigation Plan Project was held at the Main Meeting Room of Tuminah Mosque, Bagan Datuk.
This session involved the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, attended by the Director of Flood Management, Ms. Ir. Marenawati binti Abd. Malek; Chief of the Bagan Datuk District, YDH. Toh Seri Lela Paduka Dato’ Dr. Khalid bin Ismail; Member of the State Assembly (ADUN) for Rungkup, Dato’ Shahrul Zaman bin Yahya; District and Land Officer of Bagan Datuk, Tuan Nazrul Fazami bin Mohamad; representatives of the relevant department heads, and some local resident representatives.
Also present was the Deputy Director of JPS Perak Management, Puan Ir. Hajah Azizah binti Mohd. Sabri; Chief Assistant Director of Flood Management at JPS Perak, Mr. Poh Chee Chin, and Assistant District Engineer of Bagan Datuk, Mr. Nor Rahmat bin Zainudin.
This engagement session aims to gather feedback and views from stakeholders and local residents regarding the proposed new alignment of the project to ensure its smooth implementation and optimal benefits to the community.
