May 19, 2026, Bayan Lepas – A technical visit by the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSHC) at the state level of Perak's Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) was held at the proposed land reclamation site of Silicon Island, Bayan Lepas, Penang. A total of 20 JPS Perak staff members participated in this site visit session.
This visit aims to review occupational safety and health aspects at the project site, gain exposure to land reclamation project implementation methods, share knowledge and best practices in project and safety management, as well as enhance technical understanding among committee members.
