Technical Programme Committee meeting No. 1N1S 1/2011 was held on 9 May 2011 at the Hotel Tower Regency, Ipoh. The meeting was chaired by y. Bhg. Nordin bin Hamdan, Deputy Director-General I, did Malaysia and also attended by y. h. Dato ' Ong Siew Hong, Director of river basin management and coastal zone, y. Bhg. Dato ' Zainorrahim bin Ibrahim, Director of flood management, Division Directors, directors of State and representatives from various agencies, higher education institutions and non-governmental organisations which sits on the Committee.
In the afternoon meeting members visited to Inflatable Rubber Dam, sungai Kinta in Ipoh. While at the site of Rubber Dam En. Tajul Ariffin bin Baharom and Mr. Sasitharan, engineers from JPS district of Kinta/Batang Padang have been briefed about the construction of rubber dam and water quality monitoring of the Kinta River.
Before the briefings, y. Bhg. Dato ' Nordin was willing to release the competition participants kayaking in Kinta River DRAINAGE between the districts of Perak and he also presented prizes to the winners at the end of the session.
